This article will tell you if 8GB of RAM is enough for the New World MMORPG and will give you some very useful tips for such setup so you can play without any hardware upgrades.
Modern games require more and more memory. 8 GB is a standard requirement for many games. New World MMORPG isn’t an exception. The game has very nice graphics and it requires players to have at least 8 GB RAM for a comfortable experience. This amount of memory should be enough in most cases.
If your PC meets all other requirements including Graphic card and CPU, 8 GB of memory is absolutely enough. Yes, it will be occupied by the game fully but the game will run without issues in most cases. But you may need to use some tricks to make the experience even more enjoyable.
Proper Game Launch
There is one important thing you need to keep in mind: Windows also consumes memory. For example, my Windows 10 eats 2 GB right after the launch. A simple calculation shows that only 6 GB is left for the game. New World will still run in this scenario because developers also know about this.
But everything changes if you open another program like a web browser or an image editor before launching the game. Google Chrome with many opened tabs may eat 2 GB of memory or even more. Windows plus Chrome may occupy 4 GB in total and as you see only 4 GB is left for the game in this case and you will fail if you try to play. You will face a black screen glitch or another type of error.
You may see glitches even if you close all the programs before you start the game. Many programs continue keeping cache files in RAM for faster loading even after you entirely close them…
That’s why you should follow these simple tips:
- Disable autoload for all the programs you don’t really need. This will allow to free some memory which may be crucial.
- Start playing New World only after a reboot or a fresh boot. Don’t play the game after you have worked with other programs. Reboot your PC; give it some time to load all the essential stuff and play. Thus you will maximize your RAM potential.
As you see, these tips are very easy to follow. But they may help you to escape potential issues and glitches.
