The Evolution of Corruption (Part 3)

Quest Giver:

It is time to acquire new samples! I know, I know, you must be just as excited as I am. But we must proceed methodically and without haste if we are to gather the most information from each sample.

For this phase, I would like to test more blood samples... this time, from the Anchorshot Pirates that roam the port to the north, Nyhart's Anchorage. These pirates are a strange group, appearing mostly rotten like the Withered, but seeming to have a measure of agency. Yet their behavior is much the same as it was in life... perhaps they are stuck in a loop of some kind.

Now, as for what I need... Not only will those samples further my research on understanding the inhabitants of this island, but... on a more personal level, it will please me to know that some ounce of revenge is inflicted on those that drove us from the port

Just a bit more... good, yes... and now we reseal. Phew! At least the smaller pieces of Withered flesh aren't as odoriferous. Less concentrated rot, I imagine.

Any trouble with the blood samples from Nyhart's Anchorage? You know they won't just outright offer to give them to you? You'll have to take them by force. No sympathy for them, though. Perhaps, if we are lucky, you will cut some of them down to their final rest.

Strange, this blood does not appear much different than that in you or I. Perhaps some foul humours are made manifest inside, something caused by whatever process they are put through when Aeternum reclaims them... we shall find out. That is what science is for!

I shall be occupied for quite a while with the samples you have brought me, but do check in once in a while. I may have need of your services again. Please, be careful in your travels. I would hate to have to find another assistant as talented as yourself.
