You're back. Good. I need people who can handle themselves, and you've shown an ability to do that. I have a situation that I need someone to investigate.

North of here beyond Letum's Pick, are two villages: Clearwater Bend and Campbell's Rest. When we lived in Dayspring Mills, we would trade with them often, raw foodstuffs for tools and metalwork. Fair trades for good work. When we were driven out, we lost contact with them. Don't know if they're still there, if they've fled, what happened at all.

I need you to go and check on them, find out what shape they're in. If they need help, provide what you can.

You're still here? Hmph. I expected you already be on your way to look in on Clearwater Bend and Campbell's Rest. Many of us here had friends there, a few even had family.

Not knowing, having no contact, no idea what has happened... it's troubling.

Ah. So the Clearwater folks headed out before things worsened, that's good. At least they were able to get to safety. Seems the Campbells weren't so lucky, though. Or were just too stubborn... Damn. We'll have to put together a scavenging party to see what the Withered may have left intact.
