Abominable Luck is a Quest in New World MMORPG. Objective: Travel to Bullrush Wash and uncover the fate of the missing caravan.
I see that Magistrate Korrapati has finally cut you free. Most splendid. Sometimes I feel she goes too slowly with the new arrivals, but the results she's achieved have more than proven her correct. No matter, that is all behind you!
It just so happens that I have something that needs investigating. A shipment from Monarch's Bluffs was scheduled to arrive a few days ago, but has not turned up. I received a copy of their travel plans, and their passage appeared safe enough, staying well clear of Pirates, Withered, and Corrupted alike... so I am unsure what could be causing the delay.
According to their plan, their last stop was near the river to the northwest, an area called Bullrush Wash. I'd like you to head there, see if you can track down what happened to the caravan.
Bullrush Wash does have a history of flooding, so there was some effort to construct a sturdier crossing, and many travelers use it as a stopover. Perhaps the caravan has had problems with the crossing. Last I was aware, it was still safe, but with all of the chaos lately, it is best to err on the side of caution. Watch yourself.
Ah yes, you have returned... though I do not hear wagons behind you. Were you unable to find the caravan? The bridge was no longer there? Strange, there has been a bit of rain, but nothing strong enough to wash out the bridge...
Destroyed by Withered? That seems unlikely, they aren't strong enough to bring down a bridge, or a wagon, on their own! Oh... those hideous winged things were there? That explains it. I don't know that I've ever heard of them gathering in numbers so large before. This is most troubling, especially with them being so close to the settlement.
Thank you for finding out what happened to the caravan. I can only hope that any who were lost in the fight will eventually make it here, or to the safety of another settlement.
