What Came Before is a Quest in New World MMORPG. Objective: Cull Rotcrop Withered for a chance to to collect an item of interest.
Before the fall of Daybreak Borough there was another collapse in Everfall's community. Do you remember the Kelleher family? I do. They were a bright bunch, eager to plow the earth and sow their seeds. Their farm became infested with Rotcrop Withered seemingly overnight. The family was forced to flee as they were mowed down, most of them not making it to the settlement. Can you investigate the farm and see if anything remains of this once-proud family?
I know not what you will find in your sweeping of the Kelleher Farmstead. This proud and prosperous family must have left much behind when they were forced off of their land.

I rarely leave my post here on the Stolen Shores but when I went into the settlement years ago I ran into a young woman selling her wares named Jennifer Kelleher. She was selling pumpkins from her family farm, and they were the richest, fullest ones I'd ever seen. We maintained a correspondence until the fall of her farm. You found this on a shambling Withered? Then it seems we now know her fate. I am glad you have slain the shell of her, and returned her to the earth. Now, leave me. I wish to be alone.
