Slaying the Shadowslayer

Quest Giver:

I came to this island with a friend, a dear friend, who fell prey to her own darker impulses. She was once a slayer of shadows, a righter of wrongs, but after so many deaths to the Withered and Undead Pirates alike she began to lose pieces of herself, most notably her strong moral compass. Today Erika haunts the Solitude Cemetery, driven mad by her deaths and prone to attacking anyone who comes near to lay flowers for their loved ones.

Would you lay her to rest for me? The Erika I knew would never approve of such wanton violence.

Progress:

This has nothing to do with my role as Artificer but is instead a personal request, traveler. I hope the offered reward is enough motivation for you to go and vanquish my once-dear friend's husk. She would hate to see herself in this way, murmuring madness in a graveyard all alone. I hate to see her this way, and I do not have the strength to lay her low. Please do what I cannot.

Finish:

So at last Erika is at rest. This brings me great comfort and grief at once. Have you ever had a friend you would do anything for, even order their death when you knew they were no longer themselves? I hope you know a love like that some day. You have a kind heart for doing me this deed and I thank you for all you've done.

As for the grenades from the Minnow, I have determined they are too dangerous and unstable for me to give them to you in good conscience. They might explode right in your rucksack for all we know, and I do not want to put you in danger after all you've done for me. Thank you again, and I will let you know if my tinkering renders them any safer someday.
