Your willingness is quite a breath of fresh air! Proficient, agreeable... and I suspect you may be developing an interest in the subject matter as well.

For the next phase of investigation, I require samples from Withered... nothing nearby, however. Too much salt and sand in the air, which may taint the results. Perhaps the Skipstitch Withered near Campbell's Rest, to the north. Yes, those should do nicely.

Hm... It may be time to test on a more physical sample. Yes, so a bit of flesh from the creatures would be perfect. Would you obtain these for me? They do not need to be alive when the pieces are removed, so gather what you need at your own discretion.

Progress:

A grisly endeavor, I understand... having to carve off bits from these things. Unseemly business, but at times, science requires sacrifice! Now, that means less here, knowing that the island will bring them back at some point in the future, but... a sacrifice, nonetheless.

I believe that the Skipstitch Withered occupying Campbell's Rest to the north would provide the best opportunity for gathering the needed samples.

Finish:

I did not expect it to be quite so... pungent. I am glad there is a bit of a breeze, else I expect it would be even worse! Worth noting down, but I shall keep them sealed away until required. Odd that, even though the bodies of the Withered will return to the island, these pieces remain whole.

That may be another topic to research, at a different time.

I shall prepare my materials for the next stage. In the interim, however, there is another acquisition I would ask your assistance with.
