Zone of Control is a Quest in New World MMORPG. Objective: Eliminate Cannonstorm Pirates at Coffman's Redoubt, and steal their ability to fire on innocent ships entering Las Torres Bay.
Welcome back, friend. Everyone in the settlement has been talking about what you've done here, and we're all thankful. We're all stuck here together, so it's nice to find people willing to help.
Across the bay to the northeast of here is a pirate fortress called Coffman's Redoubt, led by the fearsome Captain Karj Coffman. He was a notorious captain even before reaching the island, but now that he's been twisted even more by the island, and brought back however many times, he's even worse! His fort is in a strategic position to fire cannon on any ships that attempt to enter the bay from the east, from fishing ships to traders and supply ships.
Now, I'm not asking you to take him on directly... he has a well-earned reputation as a brutal fighter. But I was hoping you'd be willing to hinder his operation a bit. Would you be up to taking on some of his Cannonstorm crew, and stealing their ability to fire on any other innocent ships?
Coffman's Redoubt is to the northeast, across Las Torres Bay. Our settlement has been surviving so far, but for us to truly thrive, we need those cannons neutralized. We need to be able to trade with the other settlements, and to aid incoming ships who have survived the storms.
But remember, don't try and go against Captain Coffman on your own. I hear he used to board ships and seize them singlehandedly, cutting down entire crews before his own men had arrived. Fighting is second nature to him, like breathing is to the rest of us. Give him a wide berth if you spot him.
I can't believe it, you actually pulled it off! I didn't doubt your abilities, but... those were stiff odds you were facing!
I'll be sure to tell Magistrate Bond and Trader Vijayan that, at least for a while, we'll have free passage through the bay. Wow... I don't know how you're able to do all of this, but keep it up. The people in the settlement have felt hope again for the first time since we were driven out of Dayspring Mills, and that's all thanks to your efforts. You should feel proud of what you've accomplished!
